A Sweet Little Success Story
Sometimes the best recipes come from unexpected moments. My brother isn’t much of a baker, but one day he wanted to impress the lady he is dating and asked for help. Instead of banana bread, we decided to try something a little different chocolate chip banana cookies.
They turned out so delicious that we couldn’t keep the recipe to ourselves. Soft, chewy, and full of natural sweetness from ripe bananas and maple syrup, these cookies are proof that even simple ingredients can make something special. The hint of vanilla and cinnamon gives them warmth, and the melted dark chocolate makes them irresistible.
They’ve since become a family favorite, whether for a quick snack, a cozy dessert, or that perfect “I baked this for you” moment.

- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl: almond flour, baking soda, cinnamon, vanilla seeds, and chocolate chips.
- Mash the bananas in a separate bowl until smooth, then stir in the maple syrup.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Mix until fully incorporated and a soft batter forms. If the batter feels too liquid, add a bit of almond flour extra.
- Divide the batter into cca 12 pieces on the baking sheet.
- Tip: use an ice cream scoop for even portions.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden and firm to the touch.
- Let the cookies rest on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a rack.
